Oregon Cycling

Whew, decided to go out for an "easy" ride with a neighbor today. Thirty miles and 2,000 feet later my quads were on fire but I was incredibly happy...ah the addictive nature of endurance sports!

This was my first time riding in Oregon (and first time riding in awhile period for that matter), and I was completely blown away. Definitely colder than the 80 degrees I've been spoiled with in SoCal. It didn't matter though, in fact it was a perfect 50 to help quench the inferno burning inside me on the ascents.

I've done a fair amount of cycling in Southern Cal, but the scenery here is just breathtaking. Rolling hills abound, open roads that intertwine in a web of sorts, and very few but friendly cars.

Still have another two weeks here so I'm definitely going to take some time to explore. If anyone ever drives through the area you must stop, there's just too much beauty to pass up. From cycling to hiking to sightseeing, definitely one of a kind in the states.
